1. Do your covers cater for chronic, pre-existing & HIV Aids related conditions? A. Yes, at Clarkson we can tailor make schemes to suit an organization's budget and at the same time meet the needs of the employees. Hence the scope of the cover can be as broad as the budget can allow. These conditions can also be covered from the commencement of the scheme.
2. Do you have Individual / Family covers? A. Yes, we can source for these from a selection of Insurance companies and HMOs in the market. 3. Can I be covered for a chronic, pre-existing or HIV/ Aids related condition as an individual? A. Yes, this is possible. However, individual / family covers are usually subjected to a waiting period of 1-2 years in as far as the above conditions are concerned.
4. How much does a medical cover cost? A. Various factors combine together to determine the cost of medical covers. Among these are:- a) Group Schemes - Size of the population - Limits of Cover - Range of Benefits - Scope of cover
b) Individual / Family - Age of the member - Limit of Cover - Scope of Cover
5. Am I covered when out of the country? A. Medical schemes are designed to cover a defined geographical area e.g Kenya Only or East Africa Only. However, cover can be extended to take care of members while on short period trips outside the geographical area as long as this does not exceed 6-8 weeks. |
