| Clarkson Notcutt gets a new chairman. |

Clarkson Notcutt (Insurance Broker) Limited and its predecessor parent companies have operated In Kenya since 1958. This experience places Clarkson in the enviable position of perhaps being the oldest locally-owned insurance broking company in the country. In 2003, the company was sold to new investors, who are experienced practitioners in the financial services, Information Technology and Property sectors, with Mr. Philippe Nsanzimana as Chairman. He successfully steered the company until early this year when he succumbed to a short illness and passed on. Clarkson now has a new Chairman Mr. Coutts Otolo, who is has over 33 years consulting experience in financial and risk management covering various Industry sectors in a variety of African countries. The organization held a cocktail at Panafric hotel on the 26th of May 2010 to introduce Mr. Otolo to our esteemed clients, suppliers, and business associates. The Managing Director Mr. Christopher Beti welcomed all guests and spoke briefly on clarkson history as strong brand and the new Vision, mission and values Clarkson have embraced as we move forward. Among those who spoke during the ceremony was Mr. James Allan Davies who has been a client of Clarkson for the last 50 years, and one of his memorable experiences with Clarkson was that he delivered a Car to Mzee Jomo Kenyatta in 1961 in Gatundu- KHA 001 and it was insured by Clarkson predecessor We also had a few words from Mr. Frank Muchiri, the Managing Director of Madison insurance, who have housed Clarkson at Madison building since1998 and work closely with us in delivering quality service to our clients as underwriters. Mr. Tom Mulwa, the Chairman of AIBK also lauded the innovation and good working relations with Clarkson over the years with the organization. Finally Mr. Otolo closed with thanking all our partners and associates over the years, and assuring them of the same high quality and in line with our vision, which is: To be the standard of quality in insurance and risk management
